Kubota Expands Tractor Implement Management (TIM) with DSX-W GEOSPREAD and M7 Tractor for Enhanced Precision

Kubota has integrated Tractor Implement Management (TIM) to the DSX-W GEOSPREAD fertiliser spreader in conjunction with the Kubota M7 tractor. This advanced technology simplifies fertiliser application and helps farmers achieve optimal nutrient distribution across their fields.

Ensuring even and precise fertiliser distribution is critical to maximising crop yields and ensuring healthy, consistent plant growth. Traditionally, drivers manually adjusted key settings on disc spreaders, leaving room for human error, which could affect efficiency and accuracy. Kubota’s new TIM-enabled solution solves this issue by automating essential settings, reducing the need for manual adjustments.

With the combination of the Kubota M7 tractor and DSX-W GEOSPREAD disc spreader, operators will experience a new level of accuracy and ease. Using the Kubota Spreading Charts App, drivers can select the working width and fertiliser type, send this data via Bluetooth to the spreader through the Kubota Sync gateway, and the system will automatically adjust crucial parameters, including spreader height, disc RPM, and inclination. Additionally, the system, through the spreader’s electronics, optimises hitch height, PTO speed, and introduces a unique feature called top link length, which further improves accuracy.

The TIM system guarantees a higher level of precision, leading to more efficient fertiliser use, enhanced driver comfort, and ultimately, a more evenly growing crop that receives the right amount of nutrients across every part of the field.

Kubota will introduce the O-series of this new technology at the beginning of 2025, with further details on demonstration campaigns and product introductions to be announced later in 2024.
